The AIWC’s chosen charity this year is ZuBaKa, a non- profit start-up located in Frankfurt. ZuBaKa stands for “ZukunftsBauKasten” - or modular “model kit” for the future. Its goal is to support the integration of young people arriving in Germany. Currently, the staff has a presence in six Frankfurt schools offering mentoring and job orientation support as well as steering students to neighborhood clubs and youth centers to boost social participation in German society. ZuBaKa would like to increase its activities and develop a model that can be used in other cities.
Stay tuned for more information about how the club will support its work. In the meantime, mark March 16 on your calendars!
